Clear expectations. Better projects.
Last updated
These terms explain the rules that apply when you use ReinierDev’s website or engage ReinierDev for services.
Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of reinierdev.com and establish general terms applicable to services offered by ReinierDev (“ReinierDev,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using this website, submitting an inquiry, purchasing services, or entering into a project with ReinierDev, you acknowledge these Terms.
Specific projects may also be governed by a proposal, quote, invoice, statement of work, service agreement, maintenance agreement, or other written agreement.
If a project-specific written agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the project-specific agreement controls for that project.
Services
ReinierDev provides digital and technical services that may include:
- website design
- website development
- responsive implementation
- e-commerce development
- booking and payment integrations
- forms and lead workflows
- CRM integrations
- business systems
- automation
- website maintenance
- hosting-related assistance
- technical consulting
- related development services
The exact scope, price, deliverables, timeline, and responsibilities for a project will be defined in the applicable proposal, quote, invoice, or written agreement.
Project Scope
Only work specifically included in the agreed project scope is included in the quoted price.
Requests that materially change the original scope may require:
- additional fees
- revised timelines
- a change order
- a separate project
Examples may include new pages, new integrations, significant redesigns, new functionality, additional automation, substantial content changes, or services not included in the original agreement.
ReinierDev will communicate material scope changes before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide information, content, approvals, access, and feedback reasonably necessary to complete their project.
Clients are responsible for:
- providing accurate business information
- providing requested content and assets
- responding to approval requests
- reviewing deliverables
- maintaining ownership or authorization for materials supplied
- maintaining required third-party accounts or subscriptions unless otherwise agreed
- protecting account credentials
- ensuring that their business and content comply with applicable law
Client delays may affect delivery timelines.
Content and Materials
Clients represent that they own, license, or otherwise have permission to use the text, photographs, logos, trademarks, videos, data, and other materials they provide to ReinierDev.
ReinierDev is not responsible for claims resulting from materials supplied by a client without the necessary rights or permissions.
Clients remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of their business claims, pricing, policies, offers, and other supplied content.
Pricing and Payment
Pricing is determined by the applicable proposal, quote, plan, invoice, or written agreement.
Projects may require an upfront deposit before work begins.
Remaining balances may be due at project milestones, before launch, or according to another agreed payment schedule.
Recurring services may be billed on a recurring basis as disclosed before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, third-party fees such as domains, paid software, payment processing, premium services, APIs, advertising, or external subscriptions are not included in ReinierDev’s service fee.
Work may be paused when an invoice becomes overdue.
Deposits, Cancellations and Refunds
Any deposit, cancellation, or refund terms specific to a project will be disclosed in the applicable proposal, invoice, or agreement.
Because custom development work requires reserved time and labor, amounts paid for work already completed may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
If a project is cancelled, the client remains responsible for approved work completed and expenses incurred through the cancellation date.
Timelines
Any delivery date or timeline is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Timelines may depend on:
- client responsiveness
- delivery of content
- approvals
- requested revisions
- third-party services
- technical complexity
- changes in project scope
ReinierDev will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.
Revisions
Revision terms are determined by the applicable project agreement.
A revision generally means an adjustment to previously agreed work.
Requests for new pages, new features, materially different designs, integrations, or functionality may be treated as additional scope rather than revisions.
Third-Party Services
Projects may depend on third-party services such as hosting platforms, domain registrars, payment processors, scheduling systems, databases, APIs, plugins, email providers, analytics platforms, or other software.
ReinierDev does not control these third parties and cannot guarantee their uninterrupted availability, pricing, features, security, or continued operation.
Changes, outages, suspensions, API restrictions, or pricing changes by third-party providers may affect a project or service.
Where additional work is required because of material third-party changes, that work may be quoted separately.
Artificial Intelligence and Development Tools
ReinierDev may use modern development tools, including AI-assisted software, to support research, coding, debugging, documentation, design exploration, automation, and other parts of the development workflow.
These tools are used to improve productivity and efficiency.
ReinierDev remains responsible for delivering the agreed work, subject to the limitations and terms contained in the applicable project agreement.
Intellectual Property
Clients retain ownership of materials they provide to ReinierDev.
Ownership of custom final deliverables will be determined by the applicable project agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, ownership transfer of custom deliverables occurs after all amounts due for the applicable work have been paid.
ReinierDev retains ownership of pre-existing materials and general-purpose resources, including:
- reusable code
- libraries
- utilities
- development workflows
- know-how
- internal tools
- techniques
- non-client-specific components
Nothing prevents ReinierDev from using general knowledge, skills, methods, or reusable components developed during its work, provided confidential client information is not disclosed.
Portfolio Rights
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, ReinierDev may display publicly launched work in its portfolio, website, social media, proposals, and marketing materials.
This may include screenshots, links, the client’s publicly displayed business name, and a general description of the services provided.
ReinierDev will not intentionally publish confidential client information as part of a portfolio presentation.
Clients may request in writing that a project remain private.
Website Ownership and Accounts
Whenever practical, clients should maintain ownership or administrative control of important business accounts such as:
- domain registration
- payment processor
- business email
- analytics
- advertising accounts
- social media
- third-party subscriptions
ReinierDev may receive temporary or delegated access when necessary to perform services.
Clients should not send passwords through insecure channels when safer access methods are available.
Maintenance and Support
Website launch does not automatically include unlimited ongoing maintenance or support.
Maintenance, updates, monitoring, content changes, hosting management, or technical support after launch are included only when stated in the applicable plan or agreement.
Additional work may be billed separately.
Client Website Compliance
Unless specifically included in writing, ReinierDev does not provide legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, or compliance advice.
Clients are responsible for determining the legal requirements applicable to their:

Confidentiality
ReinierDev will use reasonable care when handling non-public client information provided in connection with a project.
Clients should identify particularly sensitive or confidential information when providing it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Either party may end a project or recurring service according to the applicable agreement.
ReinierDev may suspend or terminate services when reasonably necessary because of:
- non-payment
- unlawful activity
- material breach
- abusive conduct
- security risk
- misuse of services
Outstanding amounts for work already completed remain due.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
